Master of Sustainable Landscape Management (MSLM) program is offered by the Department of Landscape Architecture, Faculty of Design and Architecture, University Putra Malaysia (UPM). The MSLM program is taught by qualified and experienced lecturers from the faculty as well as associate professionals and practitioners. The faculty provides a conducive teaching and learning environment for students to enhance their professional knowledge in the field of Landscape Management. This program is a cross-disciplined in nature with emphasis on landscape sustainability, technology and human well-being reflected in the current national and international thinking. Its aim to equip students with the theoretical, technical, professional skills and knowledge in sustainable landscape management and maintenance, lands.pe ecology, environmental technology, law, risk management and economy. It a. includes research in the areas relating to the development and conservation of landscape and the environment. The program prepares the students to exercise effective leadership in the sustainable management of landscape. MSLM accepts candidates with an accredited Bachelor of Landscape Architecture degree or other non-landscape architecture degrees which includes Architecture, Planning, Engineering, Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry and Environmental Sciences.
Candidates must have a Bachelor Degree (with honours) in Landscape Architecture, Horticulture, Agriculture, Agro technology, Forestry, Park and Recreation, Park and Amenity Architecture, Urban and Town Planning, Resources Economy or other related fields with a minimum CGPA of 3.00; or
Have a minimum CGPA 2.75 or equivalent to a minimum of three (3) years working experience in relevant areas of Landscape Management; or
Candidates who achieved a minimum CGPA of 2.50 or equilvalent to a minimum of 10 years working experience in areas relevant to Landscape Management.
ENGLISH REQUIREMENT FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
If you are non-native English speaker, you must achieve one of the formal qualifications as part of the entry requirements: 1. IELTS - 1. Minimum overall score of 6.0 for TESL/English or 5.5 for other programmes; or
2. TOEFL - Minimum overall score of 550 for TESL/English or 500 for other programmes; or
