What will you learn?

Master in Plantation Management is a professional postgraduate degree. The programme was first staretd in May 1998. This programme is the result of collaboration between UPM (Faculty of Economics and Management) and the Incorporated Society of Planters (ISP). Each party is recognized for its expertise in its field: the farmer for agricultural education and research, and the latter for grooming individuals for the plantation industry. The combined talents of the two organizations ensure the high quality of the programme. Students who have been admitted to the programme included senior plantation managers, researchers, lecturers, lawyers and accountants. The programme is structured such that the students enrolled in the programme can continue working. The degree in earned through course work (as opposed to a research thesis).

Eligibility

Application must have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in related field with CGPA of at least 2.250 or its equivalent; or,
  • A diploma in related field and a Professional Advance Diploma from ‘Associate of the Incorporated Society of Planters’ (AISP) and at least 8 years experience at executive level in plantation management industries.

 

ENGLISH REQUIREMENT FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

 If you are non-native English speaker, you must achieve one of the formal qualifications as part of the entry requirements: 1. IELTS - 1. Minimum overall score of 6.0 for TESL/English or 5.5 for other programmes; or

 2. TOEFL - Minimum overall score of 550 for TESL/English or 500 for other programmes; or

 3. Certified Intensive English Programme (CIEP) - Certified Intensive English Programme (CIEP) - enrolled at ELS-UPM - Level 109 English or Level 107 for other pro
