What will you learn?
The programme aims to equip candidates with knowledge of theories and practices relevant to the field of English language studies. In this programme, candidates are exposed to the latest developments in applied linguistics, English for specific purposes, language and media communication, and English language in literary studies. The programme aims to train professionals from the public and private sectors to be specialists in the English language.
Eligibility
- Candidates should have a Second Class Upper Division Bachelor’s degree or a minimum CGPA of 3.0 in English language studies or English literature (Major or Minor) from UPM or other recognized universities.
- Applicants with a CGPA of less than 3.0 but not lower than 2.75, or a Second Class Lower Division Bachelor’s degree may be considered if they have relevant work experience (min. 3 years), and/or publications, and research experience in related fields.
- Applicants who do not hold a Major or Minor qualification in English language studies or English literature must have a minimum of one year direct working or research experience in English Language.
