Registered Degree Nurses continue to emerge as leaders in health care system. Nursing is an honored profession, and unique from other health disciplines. They are highly recognized for their positions in administration, education, graduate studies and many other disciplines.
The Bachelor of Nursing in UPM continues its tradition in the nursing education by offering a contemporary curriculum including core and specialty nursing courses that prepares graduates to provide care to people of all ages and in all settings. This program offers a 4 year degree that has been fully approved and accredited by the Nursing Board Malaysia. In addition, the International Center of UPM support globally International nursing experiences through international student exchange, which allows students to expand their knowledge and skills of nursing care.
- 550 for the TOEFL Paper-based Test (Academic Version); or
- Band 6.0 for IELTS (Academic Training) ; or
- 79-80 for TOEFL Internet-based Test (Academic Version); or
- Level 109 for CIEP at ELS Language Centre; or
- Band 4.0 for IELTS (Academic Training) or 400 for the TOEFL Paper-based Test (Academic Version) only for Malay Language Studies, Arabic, Chinese Literature programme or any other programmes that allow a thesis to be written in the language of instruction; or
- any English Language Test which is equivalent to B2 in Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR); or
- Applicant who has graduated from Public or Private Institute in Malaysia which is recognized by MQA; or
- Applicant who has undergone their Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree from Institute of Higher Learning in Native English Speaking Countries; or
- Applicant from any of the following native English Speaking Country and Commonwealth countries.
Nursing syllabus consists of various subjects of study such as Nutrition, Mental Health Nursing, Child Care Nursing, Anatomy, Medical-Surgical Nursing, Community Health Nursing, Nursing Research and Statistics amongst many others.
• Nursing graduates may pursue a career in filed of education, They can be nurse educator and clinical instructor in the colleges and universities • As clinical practitioner in hospital or community graduates can also be nurse manager, rehabilitation nurse, counselor, health educator/advisor, nurse consultant/specialist, diabetic nurse and as a occupational health nurse • Graduates can also undertake postgraduates' course in any field and become researchers
