What will you learn? / Course Structure
The Bachelor of Human Development Science is designed based on the philosophy that human development growth and encompasses the interaction and the transaction between human and the Creator processes across the micro and macro systems. The programme tend to produce social scientist who can contribute towards the enhancement of quality of life of family, community and society as well as the quality of the environment.
Programme Objectives
The programme aims to produce graduates who are:
- Competent in career related to Human Development Science.
- Able to conduct research in the area of Human Development Science.
- Capable to be an officer with ethical and integrity, or businessman in area related to Human Development Science.
BACHELOR OF HUMAN DEVELOPMENT SCIENCE
Candidates must fullfill the University General Requirements and Specific Programme Requirements:
University General Requirements
Pass in the Malaysian Certificate of Education (SPM)/its equivalent with a credit in Bahasa Melayu/Bahasa Malaysia or a credit in Bahasa Melayu/Bahasa Malaysia July Paper; and
STPM Minimum Qualification
- Pass in the STPM Examination with at least: CGPA 2.00 and at least grade C (GP 2.00) in General Studies; and grade C (GP 2.00) in two other subjects; or
Matriculation/Foundation Minimum Qualification
- Pass in the Matriculation/ Foundation Examination with at least CGPA 2.00; or
Diploma or its equivalent
- A Diploma in appropriate field or other qualification which is approved by the UPM Senate; and
At least Band 1 in the Malaysian University English Test (MUET).
Specific Programme Requirements
STPM Minimum Qualification
- A minimum of Grade C (GP 2.00) in two of the following subjects at STPM level: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics (M)/Mathematics (T), Economics, Accounting, Geography, History, Business Studies, Usuluddin, Syariah, Sport Science, Information and Communications Technology (ICT); or
Matriculation/Foundation Minimum Qualification
- A minimum of Grade C (2.00) in two of the following subjects at Matriculation/ Foundation level: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Economics, Accounting, Business Management; or
Diploma Minimum Qualification
- A Diploma in a relevant field or any other qualification recognised by the UPM Senate; and
Pass in two of the following subjects at SPM level with at least grade 8/8E: Mathematics/ Additional Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Science.
