The program aims to produce competent graduates with the fundamental knowledge and skills to undertake capital appraisals, financial assets valuation and management of investments and risks in various financial markets including equities, bond, FOREX, commodities and derivatives. Specifically, the program will expose students to both theoretical and practical approaches in areas such as corporate finance, security analysis and portfolio management, to name a few. Overall, the program encompasses a comprehensive study of money markets, financial instruments, financial planning, banking and corporate restructuring.
UCSI Foundation Year
- Minimum CGPA of 2.50 out of 4.00, and pass SPM (or any equivalent qualification) with credit in Mathematics and pass in English.
STPM
- Minimum Grade C+ (GP 2.33) in any 2 subjects; and pass SPM (or any equivalent qualification) with credit in Mathematics and pass in English.
A-levels
- Minimum 2 D grades
UEC
- Minimum 5 credits (B6) including Mathematics and English
National matriculation/ Foundation
- Minimum CGPA of 2.50 out of 4.00, and pass SPM (or any equivalent qualification) with credit in Mathematics and pass in English.
International Baccalaureate (IB)
- Minimum score of 26 points in 6 subjects
Canadian Pre-U
- Minimum average of 60% in 6 subjects
SAM / Australian Year 12
- Minimum average of 60% in 5 subjects
Other qualifications deemed equivalent to STPM/A-Level by Malaysian Qualifications Agency
- Minimum overall average of 60%
Any qualification equivalent to Diploma in Finance, Banking, Insurance or related field (Level 4, MQF)
- Minimum CGPA of 2.50 out of 4.00
Other equivalent qualifications
- To be reviewed by the faculty on a case-to-case basis
English Requirement:
For local student:
- A distinction (A+, A, or A-) in the English Language subject at SPM/UEC level. If the English Language requirement is not met, student may be required to take an additional English module(s) prior to or concurrently with the undergraduate program based on the University’s decision.
For international student:
- At least IELTS Band 6 or its equivalents (As stipulated by the Ministry of Education of Malaysia).
