What will you learn?

The Bachelor of Nursing (Honours) is a 4-year (8 semesters) full-time program. The program focuses on basic sciences, theoretical and clinical courses, as well as courses in social sciences and humanities to support nursing theories. Competency-based learning is facilitated through guided inquiry, reflection and critical thinking in relation to nursing theories and evidence-based practices to provide safe, quality and client-centred care.
 

Upon successful completion of the program, students are eligible to sit for the Malaysian Nursing Board Examination to be licensed to practise as a Registered Nurse.
 

The program has full accreditation status from Malaysian Qualification Agency. The degree is recognised by Jabatan Perkhidmatan Awam (JPA) and is accepted by Nursing Boards of many countries.

Eligibility

STPM (Science/Art stream)

3 principles minimum (B-) with a minimum CGPA 2.5 Additional requirements*

 

UEC (Science/Art stream)

Minimum grade B in 5 subjects including:

Mandatory grade B in:

  • Mathematics (Elementary or Additional or Modern)

AND

At least one (1) credit in the following subjects:

  • General Science
  • Biology
  • Chemistry and pass in Biology
  • Physics and pass in Biology

AND

Credit in at least three (3) others subjects Additional requirements*

 

A-levels (Science/Art stream)

Pass with minimum 3 principles (C) including:

Mandatory grade C in:

  • Mathematics

AND

Either one (1) of the subjects below:

  • General Science
  • Biology
  • Chemistry and pass in Biology
  • Physics and pass in Biology
    AND
  • one (1) other subject Additional requirements*

 

HSC / Other qualifications deemed equivalent to STPM/A-Level by Malaysian Qualifications Agency (Science based)

Minimum average of 60%: inclusive of 5 subjects:

  • Chemistry

WAEC Senior School Certificate / NECO

English Requirement:

  • ALL International students must have English requirements: IELTS Band 5.5; OR TOEFL 550 (Written-based), 215 (Computer-based), 80 (internet-based).
