IT is a broad field that consists of knowledge in the use of computers, smart phones, development of websites, social media, digital media, applications etc.

Before all the specialisations came about, IT was the general course for this field. Those who are unsure of the specific major they want to go for need to understand IT in general before they proceed to choose their majors later.

What should I expect?

This programme provides the theoretical grounding of programming, computer science, networking, software project management and databases. This course also emphasises the development of key employability skills such as communication, collaboration, problem solving, and self-direction, through its learning model and hands on experience.

IT in general would be the use of computers to create, process, store, secure and exchange all forms of electronic data.
